Salvatore Del Deo Materials for the Arts Grant to Nathan King

We are proud to announce that young emerging artist, Nathan Balk King, 2019 SRA Apprenticeship participant and 2020 winner of the Salvatore Del Deo Foundation Materials for Arts Grant, has had his first bronze sculpture, “Timshel,” selected for exhibition at Berta Walker Gallery.

Teaching is the process by which knowledge and experience is passed on to others to increase and celebrate the best of our humanity. Nathan created this sculpture by following the complete summer curriculum at Studio Romolo Atelier: Idea building Modeling from the Figure & Portraiture Direct Plaster Modeling Direct Wax Modeling Mold Making and concluding with mentorship in Bronze Production. ⠀ We worked with Nathan through the entire process of realizing his creative vision from complete beginner to finished bronze sculpture.
